Kingfisher Trout Lake

Meadowlands

Baden Hall Fishery

Baden Hall Fishery is a great place for pleasure fishing. So far, it has registered many successful matches since its inception and is now regarded as one of the largest and the best fishing lakes in the UK. This lake boasts of 12 lakes, which perfectly sits on 70 acres, with 350 pegs construction. 

The entire 12 lakes operate based on their individual disclaimers, 8 of the pools are open for match bookings, and each of those pools has between 10 and 50 pegs, while two of the pools are meant for pleasure anglers. The pleasure pool has over 100 pegs and the fishes are easy to catch – for both experts and beginners. Generally, there are about 40 Ib carps in size, Bream of 11 lb, and tench of 10 lb.

During the winter season in 2013, two new lakes were added to this fishery, the Pintail pleasure, and Match Lake, although the first set of lakes (like the quarry lake) that already existed have started featuring fishes with great weights.

For those looking to explore the famous Baden Hall Fishery, visit their reception for the ticket, the gate of the fishery is usually opened between 6.00 am and 9.00 pm in summer and 6.00 am and 7.00 pm in winter. They will also give out some information about their fishing schedules. The reception is kept open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm in summer and 8.00 am to 5.00 pm in winter. There is a cafe where they serve anglers breakfast and evening meals, and it runs from Friday to Saturday.

The Pit

The pit is a mystery zone for anglers, constructed in a fairly small size, with 12 pegs implant, yet runs in 18 feet deep at the inlet end. The pit was unveiled and opened for use during the early months of 2004. This lake connects three beautiful islands at the far end from the inlet – Islands surrounded by shallower water. The carp residing in this lake is between 7 lb and 14 Ib, including head of the perch that run up to 3I lb 12 oz and bream of about 5 Ib. 

The pit allows you to catch any fish of your choice using any bait. In fact, with the ledgering technique, you will seize more fish than you anticipate.

Waterloo Fishery

There are about three lakes in this farm – carefully designed for different purposes (Waterloo, Wellington, and the Junior Lake). The main Waterloo fishing lake is for match fishing and general fishing, with 35 pegs, and open for match booking. It has varieties of fish species including carp to 25 lb+, mirror, common and true crucian carp, and some additional species include tench, chubb, and barbell.

The Junior lake has just about 12 pegs and is made for learners and children of 8 years and above.  This lake is considered one of the best places to learn how to fish. Interestingly, The Lake was converted into a private lake in 2013, mainly for tourists.
